The Delaware County Commissioners today announced a new director for their Job & Family Services Department. Jeffrey Sell, who has been with Delaware County JFS since 2020, has been hired, filling the vacancy left in August when previous director Bob Anderson left to head Hamilton County Job & Family Services.

Sell previously worked for Seneca County JFS for 21 years. A graduate of Bowling Green State University, he has served as Delaware County’s Protective Services Program Administrator and as Interim Director since Anderson’s departure.

“We are pleased to have found the right leader for our JFS team right here within our organization,” said Jeff Benton, president of this year’s Board of Commissioners. “We are confident that Jeff Sell, who has been an integral part of this team’s excellence, will continue the record of outstanding service that has been established.”

With more than 70 employees, Delaware County JFS serves a wide variety of constituents in one of the fastest growing counties in Ohio. Whether facing challenges with monthly living expenses, healthcare, raising a family, enhancing job skills, or seeking employment, county residents can find the help they need accessing financial and practical resources from federal, state and local government.
